Rich Points

I’m wondering if a good way to start this blog might be to encourage people to think about a chapter or section in the book that really hit home — to you and/or to students.  Is there a narrative or discussion that was particularly compelling to you or to your students?  For example, one colleague shared with me that a student had been very moved by the section in the disability chapter that includes the ideas about the paradox of rehabilitation personnel like us. We depend on people with disabilities to accept the label of being disabled and needing our services; at the same time, we try not to put people with disabilities into categories and stereotypes, or into being seen as “different.”. The student had never thought of it that way, and it proved to be a rich point for her.  What are some of your thoughts?
